FUNDACIÓN VÍCTIMAS DEL TERRORISMO 93 - ENGLISH

54 11M VICTIMS O ur commitment remains the same as that which in- spired our first steps our Association: to provide moral, material, legal and psycholog- ical support to those in need; to promote unity among all victims; and to demand attention, re- spect, remembrance and justice. We also work to raise awareness of our reality, promote social con- sciousness and collaborate with or- ganisations that share these goals. During 2025, we have continued to move in this direction, promoting actions of support and accompani- ment, strengthening cooperation with like-minded associations and partici- pating in acts of remembrance and rec- ognition. Through our collective efforts, we keep alive the dignity of the victims and promote a more just society, com- mitted to peace, truth and solidarity. In 2025, we have built memory and hope through numerous talks, meet- ings and testimonies: a dozen secondary schools and universities in Madrid, Va- lencia and Seville, as well as two con- ferences on jihadism: the II Congress on Terrorism and Prison (Cadiz) and the Summer Course at the Rey Juan Carlos University in Aranjuez, together with Fernando Reinares and the Vitoria Memorial Centre, under the title "The jihadist threat to Spain: persistence and transformation". We have also demanded remem- brance and recognition in our most representative events: those held on 11 March at the four sites of the attack —Atocha, Téllez, Santa Eugenia and El Pozo— and in Alcalá de Henares, Fuenlabrada and Getafe, in addition to the tribute paid by the R omanian Embassy. We participated in Europe- an Day for the Victims of Terrorism at the National Archaeological Museum, where we read texts and poems, and in the event at the Congress of Deputies. As we do every summer, we visited our partners in Barcelona on the eighth anniversary of 17-A. Our Remembrance and Coexistence activities stand out, held in Salaman- ca —with a floral tribute, a visit to the mural and a tour of the city—and in Barcelona , where for the first time we brought together victims of 11-M and 17-A to share experiences in a deeply enriching encounter. In 2025 , the 9th Memory and Peace Award went to the lawyers who rep- resented us on 11-M and 17-A, with whom we held a ceremony filled with gratitude. In addition, we have created the first educational exhibition on the events of 11 March 2004, entitled "Photos, paintings and testimonies of 11-M", which was installed at the Vicálvaro Cam- pus of the Rey Juan Carlos University from 11 to 28 November and was accom- panied by a talk and testimony. Of course, we have continued to provide psychological support, with hundreds of individual interventions and group workshops, as well as social, medical and legal assistance. More than 200 members shared a day of fellowship at the Amusement Park and the Zoo . We also had a large turnout at our C hrist- mas Party on 13 December. 11-M ASSOCIATION OF VICTIMS OF TERRORISM 2025 YEAR IN REVIEW ON 30 OCTOBER 2025, IN THE AUDITORIUM OF THE JOSÉ MARÍA DE LLANOS FOUNDATION, WE PRESENTED OUR 9TH AWARD FOR MEMORY AND PEACE, WITH ENORMOUS GRATITUDE, TO ALL THE LAWYERS WHO HAVE BEEN REPRESENTING US SINCE 11 MARCH 2004 In the words of the president: "There are nine of you lawyers who have represented us in those courts where we would have achieved little on our own.
