LIVE BROADCAST ON RTVE’S LA 2 The concert was broadcast live on La 2 of Televisión Española, reinforcing its public dimension and social reach. The event took place during a particularly significant period, around 11 March, the European Day for the Victims of Terror- ism, coinciding with the anniversary of the 2004 Madrid bombings, in which 192 people were killed and more than two thousand were injured. Following a prolonged ovation from the audience in recognition of the quality of the performance, Their Majesties greeted the conductor, the soloists, the members of the Escolan- ía Kay choir and representatives from RTVE. The King and Queen conclud- ed their visit by chatting with many of those gathered in the foyer of the Auditorio Nacional. INSTITUTIONAL REPRESENTATION AND ASSOCIATIVE MOVEMENT Among the victims in attendance, ac- companied by the president of the FVT, Juan Francisco Benito Valenciano, the vice-presidents Ángeles Pedraza and Francisco Javier López Ruiz, and the patron Esther Sáez, were representa- tives of the main associations: Maite Araluce (AVT), Francisco Zaragoza (ACFSEVT), Tomás Caballero (Tomás Caballero Foundation), Daniel Portero (Dignity and Justice), Jerónimo López (ARVT), Mónica Muñoz (PAVT) and Sebastián Nogales (AVTCyL).
