Over two days, the current state of terror- ism will be addressed, along with the role played by victims as a pillar of social resil- ience. General Ballesteros sums it up clear- ly: “The victims of terrorism, with their dignified attitude and their resilience in extremely dramatic circumstances, provide us with an example that forms the frame- work, the foundation that prevents society from succumbing.” The programme will bring together counter-terrorism special- ists, researchers and victims who will share their experiences and analyses. 65 CULTURE “The victims of terrorism, with their dignified attitude and their resilience in extremely dramatic circumstances, provide us with an example that forms the framework, the foundation that prevents society from succumbing”
