EDUCATION AND COEXISTENCE 26 11M EXHIBITION IN ALBACETE AN EXERCISE IN TRUTH, DIGNITY, AND COLLECTIVE COMMITMENT THE UCLMALBACETE CAMPUS HOSTS THE MEMORY OF 11M Installed in the "Melchor deMacanaz" Le- gal and Business Studies Building, in the Faculty of Economics and Law, the exhi- bition reached its thirteenth stop in Alba- cete as part of an itinerary that has already taken it to cities such as Madrid, Vitoria, Azuqueca de Henares, Haro, Badajoz, Al- calá de Henares, Burgos, Bilbao, Santan- der, San Sebastián, and Ciudad Real, with the aimof continuing to bring the memory of theMarch 11, 2004 attacks closer to citi- zens, especially younger people. The opening ceremony brought to- gether broad institutional and social representation. Attendees included the Second Vice President of the Go- vernment of Castilla-La Mancha, José Manuel Caballero; the rector of UCLM, José Julian Garde; the president of the Albacete Provincial Council, Santiago Cabañero; the president of the Victims of Terrorism Foundation, Juan Benito Valenciano; the regional government's delegate in Albacete, Pedro Antonio Ruiz Santos; the Deputy Minister for Institutional Relations, Javier Vicario; and the Councilor for Employment of Albacete City Council, Lucrecia Rodri- guez de Vera, among other authorities. They were joined by relatives of victims of terrorism, such as the mother and bro- thers of Guardia Civil Captain José Ma- ría Galera Córdoba, born in Albacete and murdered in Afghanistan in 2010, whose presence underscored the profoundly hu- man nature of the event. BRINGING MEMORY TO A GENERATION THAT DID NOT EXPERIENCE 11M The exhibition brings together 67 photo- graphs selected from the EFE Agency ar- chive, images documenting both the hours after the explosions onMadrid commuter trains and the immediate social and ins- titutional response to the largest terrorist massacre committed in Spain. EFE's full archive contains more than 25,000 ima- ges related to those attacks. Organized into nine thematic sections, ac- companied by explanatory texts in Spanish and English, each image is contextualized through labels and captions. The exhibition is completed by a documentary video that chronologically reviews the events of those days. The design and exhibition structure were developed by journalists Laura Ca- macho and Sagrario Ortega, specialists in information on the Interior Ministry. The choice of the university campus as the exhibition space was not accidental. Throughout the speeches, speakers em- phasized the importance of bringing the From April 8 to 30, the Albacete campus of the University of Castilla-La Mancha (UCLM) became a space for memory, reflection, and democratic education with the arrival of the exhibition 11M Attacks.
