40 THE AVT ORDINARY GENERAL ASSEMBLY ELECTS LUCÍA RUIZ AS THE ASSOCIATION'S NEW PRESIDENT L The Association of Victims of Te- rrorism (AVT) elected Lucia Ruiz García as the Association's new pre- sident at its Ordinary General Assembly of Members. At the event, held in Madrid on May 23, the Association's accounts for the latest fiscal year were also approved, as was the management of the Board. The new AVT president, Lucia Ruiz, explained to members the action plan that will guide the day-to-day work of her Board of Directors over the next two years, following the path of the work ca- rried out by Ángeles Pedraza. THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS REMAINS IN PLACE In this new term, Lucia Ruiz will be ac- companied on the Board of Directors by four women and one man, all victims of terrorism with extensive experience in the Association.
