It recognises his constant fi- ght against terrorism and commendable work with young people in primary and secondary schools and universities, as part of victims’ educational work to prevent te- rrorist radicalisation. Alongside him, the Grand Cross of Loyalty to Victims of Terrorism was awarded to the Colonel commanding the Civil Guard Command, Carlos de Miguel García, a dis- tinguished officer who has devoted much of his career to combating terrorism and defending and supporting victims. In the justice sector, José Luis Castro de Antonio, the National Court’s Juve- nile and Prison Supervision Judge, also received the Grand Cross, recognising his career and work for victims of terro- rism as head of the Prison Supervision Court. The Grand Cross was also awarded to the Community of Madrid’s Minister of Housing, Transport and Infrastructure, Jorge Rodrigo Domínguez. He received it from the Association’s President, Alfon- so Sánchez, for his constant defence of victims and the Community of Madrid’s annual support for their remembrance and dignity. Finally, the Community of Madrid’s Mi- nister of the Presidency, Justice and Lo- cal Administration, Miguel Ángel García Martín, who presided over the ceremony, also received the Grand Cross of Loyal- ty. It recognises his constant work for victims, particularly amendments to the Community of Madrid’s Victims Act designed to improve protection, his pro- motion of the future Memorial Centre for the Victims of Terrorism in the region and his participation in numerous regio- nal acts of remembrance.
