This audiovisual project is organised by the Association of Victims of Terrorismof Castile and León (AvtCyL) and has been produced in collaboration with the Re- gional Government of Castile and León. Memoria revelada explores the impor- tance of photojournalism in providing a visual record of the terror and suffering caused by terrorism, creating a visual ar- chive that serves as historical evidence and helps society to ensure the victims are not forgotten. In this documentary, photojournalist Fidel Raso, based in Urueña and who covered the violence caused by ETA in the Basque Coun- try for many years, meets two victims whose attack he photographed. In addition, several victims from Castile and León also take part, including two of those injured in the attack on a Civil Guard bus in Madrid’s Plaza de la República Dominicana in 1986, in which twelve people were killed. Three jour- nalism students from the University of Valladolid also have their say, offer- ing their views on terrorism and the role played by the photojournalists tasked with documenting its aftermath. The documentary was directed by the León-based journalist Pedro Lechuga Mallo, who highlights the significant emotional toll this project has taken, “through which I aim to give visibility to the victims of terrorism, so that they themselves can tell the story of what happened, as well as the photographers and journalists who, for decades, did exceptional work, photographing and reporting on the barbarity of terrorism and who, sadly, are sometimes forgotten". For his part, Sebastián Nogales, presi- dent of AvtCyL and one of the partic- ipants in the documentary, highlights the enthusiasm with which the associ- ation has approached this new project, “in which we are once again placing the victims at the centre and through which we also aim to highlight the important work carried out by photojournalists, thanks to which today’s younger gen- erations can see visual evidence of the consequences of the use of violence”. THE NATIONAL POLICE ACADEMY IN ÁVILA HOSTED THE EXHIBITION “ROLANDO 2:15–2:45. 50 YEARS SINCE THE FIRST ETA MASSACRE” The Memorial Centre for Victims of Ter- rorism and the Association of Victims of Terrorism of Castile and León (Avt- CyL), in collaboration with the National Police, brought the exhibition “ROLAN- DO 2:15 – 2:45. 50 years since ETA’s first massacre” to the National Police Acad- emy in Ávila .
