63 The Alberto Jiménez-Becerril Founda- tion against Terrorism and Violence pu- blished the rules for the 16th Creators for Freedom and Peace Competition. As in previous editions, the competition will award the best works in three categories: poetry, short novel, and photography, with a prize of 1,000 euros per category. Through this initiative, the Alberto Ji- ménez-Becerril Foundation maintains its firm commitment to promoting citi- zens' interest, especially among young people, in peaceful actions, behaviors, and movements, and to encouraging, through knowledge, rejection of violent or extremist attitudes and conduct, as well as any behavior that attacks peo- ple's fundamental rights. This competition has become a national benchmark in the fight against violence through creation, words, and images. The Foundation also carries out various initiatives to vindicate memory, dignity, and justice for victims of terrorist vio- lence through a truth-based narrative, so that society does not repeat the mis- takes of the past. The rules of the competition are publi- shed on the Alberto Jiménez-Becerril Foundation website, and the submis- sion period will be open from June 1 through September 15, 2026, inclusive. Applications must be submitted through the forms made available on the Foun- dation's own website.
