ADVOCATING A VICTIMS’ LAW IN GALICIA (JUNE 2026) Activity in Galicia has been a priority during these months. After years of pro- moting activities in the region, growing demand for support, especially from vic- tims belonging to the security forces, has required the expansion of our network of external collaborators to offer specialised medical and psychological treatment. In this context, on 22 June, AESVITE representatives held a key working mee- ting with the Galician Government, spe- cifically its Directorate General for Ins- titutional and Parliamentary Relations. The aim was to lay the foundations for a working group with associations, to pro- mote and highlight the urgent need for a Victims Act in Galicia . The meetings were constructive, and the Xunta showed willingness to support victims’ events and remembrance in the region. Previously, on 19 June, AESVITE atten- ded the Galician Foundation Against Drug Trafficking Gala, where victims of terrorism were honoured in the presence of senior National Police and Civil Guard officials in Galicia, with a minute’s silence. At AESVITE, we continue working every day for remembrance, dignity and justice for all victims of terrorism. www.aesvite. es / aesvite@gmail.com AESVITE ASSOCIATION ASSOCIATIONS AND FOUNDATIONS
