6 VALENCIA CHAIR NEWS Conference in Valencia F rom 20 to 23 October, the Faculty of Law of the University of Valen- cia hosted the conference "Antici- pation, prevention and education against terrorism and extremism", organised by the Chair of Terrorism Studies and Vic- tims' Rights, in collaboration with the Re- gional Ministry of Justice of the Valencian Regional Government. JUAN BENITO VALENCIANO HIGHLIGHTS THE KEY ROLE OF EDUCATION IN THE FIGHT AGAINST EXTREMISM For four days, experts, authorities and representatives of associations of victims of terrorism met to reflect and debate on the current challenges in preventing vi- olent extremism. The opening ceremony was attended by prominent institutional figures such as José Ortiz Navarro, senior prosecutor of the Valencian Community; José Manuel Ortega Lorente, President of the Provincial Court of Valencia; Javier Soler Flores, Director General of Victim Support and Access to Justice; and José Luis González Cussac, Director of the or- ganising chair.
