FUNDACIÓN VÍCTIMAS DEL TERRORISMO 95 - ENGLISH

52 this edition. The Canary Islands trio Alma de Bolero returned to a Foundation activity after its participation in the An- nual Awards ceremony held in the audito- rium of the University of Alcalá. The per- formance was especially moving because it formed part of the commemorative tour for the group's 25th anniversary. With a consolidated career that has taken it to stages across Spain, Europe, and the Ame- ricas and with twelve recorded works re- leased, Alma de Bolero offered an elegant, intimate, and deeply moving concert. During their performance they interpre- ted some of the most emblematic songs in Spanish-language music, pieces that form part of the sentimental memory of several generations, including Corazon partio, Santa Lucia, andHistoria de un amor. The audience response was immediate. Atten- dees accompanied some of the best-known choruses with clapping and voices, creating an atmosphere of complicity that transfor- med the concert into a shared experien- ce. Emotion grew song after song until it culminated in a prolonged ovation that showed the success of the performance. The concert created an intimate and evocative atmosphere, turning each song into a journey through memories, emotions, and shared stories. Music thus brought an especially human dimension to a meeting that, beyond recognitions and institutional balance sheets, seeks to strengthen ties among people and en- tities united by common values. "Take My Hand" demonstrated once again that memory can also be a space of en- counter, dialogue, and hope. In this tenth edition, the Rodolfo Benito Samaniego Foundation reaffirmed its determination to continue building bridges among ins- titutions, associations, and citizens com- mitted to defending human dignity and democratic coexistence. The day concluded with conversations, photos, greetings, and expressions of affection, leaving the shared feeling of having taken part in something more than an institutional event. Above all, it was a celebration of ties built over the years, a recognition of those who work for a better society, and a permanent tribute to those who suffered terrorist violence. True to its name, the meeting once again invited all present to extend a hand and continue walking together.
