STUDENTS FROM CASTILLA Y LEON VISIT THE MEMORIAL CENTER FOR VICTIMS OF TERRORISM IN VITORIA The Association of Victims of Terrorism of Castile and León (AvtCyL) made it possible for students from the Universi- ty of León’s School of Law, the Ramón y Cajal High School in Valladolid, and the University of Valladolid’s School of Jour- nalism to visit the Memorial Center for Victims of Terrorism in Vitoria. Thanks to a partnership agreement with the Memorial Center, AvtCyL has been organizing in-person visits for years with students from univer- sities and high schools in Castile and León—activities that have been very well received by both faculty and stu- dents alike. THE "TESTIMONY OF VICTIMS OF TERRORISM IN CLASSROOMS" PROGRAM REACHES EIGHT SCHOOLS Over the past few months, eight high schools in different provinces of Castile and León were visited by a victim of te- rrorism who shared their testimony with the students, thanks to the program “Tes- timonies of Victims of Terrorism in the Classroom,” promoted by the Regional Government of Castile and León and the Association of Victims of Terrorism of Castile and León. This project aims to bring students fa- ce-to-face with the reality of terrorism and the value of victims’ testimonies, helping to combat the risk of these events being forgotten and to foster a commit- ment to democratic values.
